Portrait of The Demon Guard

So here’s the last model from my demo reel which I’ve completed!
The Demon Guard is half demon- half snake, and was the one in charge of the huge plot to capture an ancient beast, which belongs to The Goddess Sovanna. He keeps the beast hostage waiting for the right opportunity to destroy Sovanna, as she is slowly being lead into his perfect trap…

I modeled the base mesh in XSI, sculpted in mudbox, painted the detailed texture all in zbrush, touched up the seams in photoshop & deep paint 3d, and rendered it with mental ray.

A collaboration I did with my sister Artemis. She created the right side, and I made the left side. We started off with a sketch and then split the picture in half. We pretty much did whatever we wanted with our side of the character, but every once in a while we'd upload the other's half to one of our computers to see how they'd match up.
